The Clearwater U15 minor hockey team set out to Merritt on Friday, Feb. 2 for a three-league game weekend. With only nine players and one goalie it was bound to be an exciting and exhausting trip.
The first game was a 4-1 win, only giving the kids a few hours to regain energy to face the second Merritt team. The second game was a tough battle for the slightly tired crew but they managed a 6-4 win.
The third game had a gruelling start and they fell behind two-zero. What a thriller this game was when the team caught up and finally took the lead in the last five minutes. Needless to say, they made the seemingly impossible possible and won this game also. It took two hours and was a nail biter to the end. With these three wins Clearwater worked its way to the top of their league with only a few more games to go.
Way to go Icehawks, we are so proud of you!
