Williams Lake RCMP are advising people to call police before attempting to intervene in suspected criminal activity after man reported having a gun pointed at him.
On Monday, April 1, in the 1100 block of South Lakeside Drive in Williams Lake, shortly before 10 p.m., two suspects were reportedly witnessed attempting to break into a vehicle.
When confronted, one suspect was said to have pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the owner.
Both suspects then left the area and were last witnessed heading north on South Lakeside Drive.
The suspects were both described as male, wearing all black, both with backpacks and one with a bicycle.
“If you see suspicious activity and feel a crime is being committed, under no circumstances should you approach the person(s), rather call the police immediately,” said Inspector Rob Lake, OIC Williams Lake RCMP.
The identity of the suspects is not known at this time and RCMP asks anyone with information to call the Williams Lake RCMP at (250) 392-6211 or contact Crime Stoppers.
