Members of the Rotary Club were busy decorating for the Dec. 1, 2024 Rotary Christmas Tree light-up on Sunday with families finding their way through the foggy night to greet Santa.
In spite of the fog there were goodies, a cookie decorating contest, accompanied by carollers singing familiar holidays tunes and a nice warm fire outside of the Wells Gray Visitor Info Centre in Clearwater.
Santa arrived via the Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department fire engine to visit with the children and have some fun photos taken by their family photographers while his firefighter friends showed off lights and sirens. Even Jerry the Moose ended up lighting the way with a beautifully colourful collar of lights that sparkled through the foggy evening in the glow of the fire and flashing lights.
The sparkling lights around the Info Centre definitely lend to the spirit of Christmas for old and young alike.
