Williams Lake pressman marks 40 years at Cariboo Press

Mark Lees is the head pressman at the Cariboo Press in Williams Lake.

Mark Lees has worked as a pressman for Cariboo Press at the Williams Lake Tribune for 40 years. 

His first day of work was Oct. 22, 1984 and within six months he knew how to run the press. 

Initially he learned from Jeff Morrison who was a journeyman pressman. 

As the head pressman, Lees said he thinks he's presently the longest working employee for Black Press. 

Cariboo Press prints 12 newspapers a week for communities from Ashcroft to Prince Rupert. 

Lees grew up in Williams Lake and is a husband, father and grandfather, as well as a musician in the local band the Markabillies.
