B.C. Hydro has scheduled a power outage in areas in and around Clearwater for Saturday, May 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The outage is planned so BC Hydro can conduct a pole replacement.
It’s recommended that those affected unplug electrical devices to protect them from damage.
Items like lights, heaters and major appliances should also be unplugged during this time.
Areas that’ll be affected include: Auldgirth Rd., Blackpool Rd., Blackwater Rd., Bradwhaw Rd., Brookfield Rd and Canyon Creek Fsr.
Caroline Rd., Davoren Rd., Decosmos Rd., Donchi Pl., Dunlevy Rd., Dunn Lake Rd., Elliott Rd., Emery Rd., Ferry Rd., Foote Rd and Gaggin Rd.
Gill Creek Rd., Glen Rd., Hern Rd., No. 5 Hwy., Old No. 5 Hwy., Jenkins Rd., John Foster Way., Johnston Rd., Kershaw Rd. and Kidd Rd.
Louise Lane., Mann Rd., McCarthy Crk Rd., Mileen Crt., Mileen Dr., Ogden Rd., Old N Thompson Hwy., Old Thompson Hwy., Petrol Rd., Phillips Rd. and Pumping Station Rd.
Ray Rd., Richie Rd., Round Top Rd., Schmidt Rd., Sunshine Valley Rd., Taren Dr., Thompson Dr., Traub Rd., Wadlegger Rd. and Yellowhead Hwy.
Young Rd. and Clearwater (Blackpool, East Blackpool, Round Top, Sunshine Valley.)
B.C. Hydro also reminds that elevators and garage doors may not work during the outage.
Another outage is planned for the same day from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., also to conduct pole replacement.
The addresses affected are 30, 31, 34, 35, 39, 43, 46, 47, 50, 51, 54, 58, 62, 63, 66, 74 and 201 Lodge Dr.
Also affected will be 93 Old N. Thompson Hwy (T11, T14, T15, T17, and T18) and 203, 204, 208, 210, 211 Whymper Rd as well as 74 Young Rd.
