Barriere RCMP Cpl. Robert Welsman said criminal charges have now been approved by the BC Prosecution Service in relation to an alleged break and enter that took place in the District of Barriere in September of 2020.

“On Sept. 17, 2020, Barriere RCMP entered into a criminal investigation into the break and enter to a secure compound of a local towing company,” reported Welsman.

The full findings of the investigation conducted by Barriere RCMP was provided to the BC Prosecution Service who approved criminal charges against 33-year-old Joshua Foucault of Barriere.

“Foucault has now been formally charged with break and enter with intent to commit an offense, breach of a probation order and driving while disqualified under the Criminal Code,” reported Welsman.

Foucault’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 12, 2021, in Kamloops Provincial Court.
