Today’s tale of the week is … adventure!

Recently there was a night ski/snowshoe up at Candle Creek trails.

I decided to join in even though it would be only my second venture on snowshoes. I even talked a few friends into it and they talked a few more in as well. All in all there were 30-plus of us out there.

There was only a small fee of $10 for those, including me, who were not members of the Wells Gray Outdoors Club. The fee was collected so they can keep the trails and hut in great condition for all of us and no one minded paying.

We were hoping to see the moon along the way but had to make do with only a few glimpses and a lot of fun along the way! Everyone was very festive and most were new to the adventure also.

With the smiles from the crazy hat contest and appies that we all brought along there was a good time had by everyone.

A shout out goes to Sharon from the Bear’s Den Cookhouse for organizing the outing.
