On Tuesday, Aug. 8, over 50 seniors attended the regular second Tuesday of the month Learn and Lunch program.

Although this monthly event is usually held at the Clearwater Elks Hall, August’s get-together was hosted by the Upper Clearwater ladies at the old Upper Clearwater schoolhouse.

Lovely cello music performed by Petrina Gregson and her student greeted the folks as they arrived. Sharon Neufeld played her guitar and led a sing-a-long of garden songs.

After a delicious lunch the group made their way across the road to Trevor Goward’s home, Edgewood Blue. Amid the song birds and the gardens Clearwater-based life skills coach Vix Meyer gave a talk on ”gratitude.”

All were feeling thankful for Trevor’s generosity as he shared his garden.

Many went home with delicious Upper Clearwater lettuce donated by Petrina Gregson.

Indeed we all felt gratitude for having had such a beautiful day.

This event was organized by Wells Gray Seniors Society with the help from United Way.
