Season's Greetings upon us once more
Santa - Saint Nick knocking on the door
We don't want much for Christmas this year
We've got all we want, just bring on the cheer
The goodies and treats, we will chow down
From yellow to red to deep chocolate brown.
The kids want a computer, an MP3
An Ipod, a Blackberry and a game of WII
The pricier the item the more the greed
What happened to something excited they need
Parents can't afford very much this year
Paying the rent and bills is their biggest fear.
Some people live in a manic depression
While the earth goes through a serious recession
Temperatures drop to 30 below
And now the prediction of three days of snow
Santa you'd better bundle up on your sleigh
Before you get on your merry way.
A message to all that can't afford very much
It's the love and thought and gift of touch
Santa whatever you give to kids may be
A Christmas present under the tree
All you kids enjoy what you get
And don't put your parents through turmoil and debt.
Have a Merry Christmas!
