Editor, The Times:

Plans are once again underway to celebrate Canada Day at Dutch Lake Beach. Featured at 11 a.m. the Rhythm Riders horseback drill team will give a performance across the road.

We will be doing a barbecue by donation, including burgers, pulled pork and hot dogs. There will also be cake, ice cream and watermelon.

Plans include music at the beach, a fun filled fitness program, dance and limbo contest as well as the beach games and prizes.

There will be a craft area for the little ones as well as face painting.

A draw for prizes will be held during the day and we even have kayaks to be given away to kids.

So bring your family, friends and neighbours out to enjoy the day!

Bring your appetite, dance shoes, sun hat and lawn chairs. Bring your canoe, paddle board or kayak to share a ride with others.

We are grateful to the sponsors of this event – District of Clearwater, Community Forest, Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Wells Gray, TNRD Wells Gray Country, Re Max Reality – Ole Kjenstad, Clearwater Lodge and Buy-Low.

Watch this paper for next week’s advert outlining the program of activities for this family outing!
