To the editor,

Are you feeling melancholy over Dutch Lake Playground and Dutch Lake Road with the recent changes?

The playground had many trees in the back corner and along the bank. The fence was up with a gate and benches rested behind the back stop. Now, we can observe the fence moved inward with no gate or benches making way for our new trail.

If you walk along Dutch Lake Road you will see 10 feet of property front at each home cleared for the new trail.

A fir tree is gone and brushes cut down. The lawns are shorter and large boulders have been moved all along Dutch Lake Road to the River Trail Path.

We can barely wait for the finished outcome, but these are photos to show history in the making and to not forget what our area was like before the work began.
