To the Editor,
Many thanks to all who have contributed to this year’s “Walk for Memories” fund-raising campaign. We have such wonderfully generous communities – Clearwater, Barriere, Little Fort and all the other surrounding neighbourhoods. Some businesses and companies have given prizes; others, like you, donate money.
Thank you to everyone.
In case you’ve missed out so far, Annabelle Stevens and I will be outside Clearwater’s BuyLow on Friday, September 26th from 3 – 6 pm. Raffle tickets, with six (6) fabulous prizes, cost $4 each or 3 tickets for $10. I am also collecting pledges from anyone who would prefer to donate to that way. Tax receipts will be sent by the BC Alzheimer’s Society for every donation of $15 or more.
For reasons we all understand, the usual May event had to be cancelled. In its place a Covid-friendly mini-event has been arranged for Sunday, September 27th from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Seniors Centre in Barriere. Come visit for coffee, door prizes, the drawing of the raffle and/or a walk of your choosing.
