To the Editor,

Students, teachers, janitors bus drivers and teaching assistants are going back to school. With the exception of those parents who choose to homeschool for fear of the COVID threat.

For sure, these special conditions will tax all involved to the max. But, not to try would be an absolute sin.

Yes, to say we are beat before we begin is to sell ourselves short and be the ultimate sin.

These young students are our future and we need to set a good example for them. Let that example inspire, not condemn.

As a former teacher, I must say the staff of our local education team is strong and from what I know of the homeschool parents, we, as a community, cannot go wrong.

Although my skills are dated, and I may be somewhat out of touch, I stand ready to help with a senior’s touch.
