To the Editor,

Yellowhead Community Services and the Clearwater Farmers Market are pleased to announce that this winter we will be offering a trial winter market inside the Dutch Lake Community Centre gym 9 a.m. to noon every two weeks on Saturdays.

Our market will continue to offer local food and artisan products with the criteria that all product is grown, made, baked or wild harvested by the vendors. The confirmed market dates for 2020 are, Nov. 14, Nov. 28 and Dec. 12.

If interest is strong from both vendors and customers, we will continue into 2021.

Safe access to locally produced food year round and during a pandemic is so important! We are asking the community for your support as we try out this new venture — please visit us, spend a few dollars purchasing fantastic local food and gifts and let us know what types of products you would like to see at a winter market.

Our vendors are always looking to fill a gap and provide a product that people want! As a bonus, Good Stock Foods will have food service running out of our kitchen facilities so come see what’s cooking!

Farmers Markets have their own set of COVID-19 guidelines and are exempt from mass gatherings but we will be taking extra precautions as we move indoors. All of our vendors will be masked or have table shields, booths are spaced to allow for physical distancing and we are asking all our customers to also wear masks during their shopping.

See you at the market!
