Icy road conditions caused a vehicle to leave Canim Hendrix Lake Road and strike the side of a home on Friday, Nov. 29.
Sgt. Brian Lamb said this was one of 73 calls to service 100 Mile House RCMP received between Nov. 25 and Dec. 3. Lamb said the incident occurred along the 5000 block of Canim Hendrix Road and on arrival officers determined the vehicle had left the road after striking some ice, sliding onto a residential property and striking the house.
However, Lamb noted there were no injuries to the occupants of the vehicle or to anyone inside the house. Some damage was done to both the house and vehicle as a result of this incident.
Stolen kayaks
A report of a break-and-enter from a property on Trout Drive was received by the RCMP on Nov. 27. Sometime after Nov. 1, Lamb said a barn had been broken into and two green-coloured kayaks were stolen.
Vehicle theft
A vehicle was reported stolen to the 100 Mile House RCMP on Dec. 1. The vehicle was taken from a rest stop near Easzee Drive on Highway 97.
Lamb explained that sometime after 4:30 p.m. on the day before, a blue 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt with B.C. license VB90X had been taken. The vehicle has not been recovered.
Stolen ATV found
A report of an abandoned ATV came into the 100 Mile House RCMP on Dec. 2. Lamb said that the ATV was abandoned near the 100 Mile District General Hospital on the 500 block of Cedar Avenue in Centennial Park.
RCMP attended and located a red Arctic Cat ATV which had been reported as stolen on Oct. 4. The ATV has been seized and the owners have been contacted.
