It will be another celebration of outstanding music, art, and community unity on July 23 and 24, when the Wildfire Dragon Monument site at Louis Creek hosts its third music and art festival. The event is presented by the McLure Wildfire Monument Society, which is a registered charity that built and maintain the site.

Festival committee members are planning to make this year's festival a two-day event. Saturday will feature a number of outstanding musicians who will perform throughout the day. There will also be a number of artists and crafters on site displaying their works and offering them for sale. The day will close with a visit from the 'Good Wishes Dragon', who will once again encourage the youngsters to join in the good wishes parade as they share music, fun, and good wishes to all who attend the event.

Sunday morning will feature an outdoor Cowboy Church, with plenty of music, good will, and worship in the cowboy way.

Best of all - the event is free, although donations will be gladly accepted.

"The Wildfire Dragon Music and Art Festival needs you," says committee member Tracey Corraini, "If you've been thinking about giving back to the community, or even checking out the Festival for the first time as a participant, we'd like to invite you to help us make this year's celebration the best it can be."

She notes that 2011 Festival organizers are looking for sociable, spirited, customer service oriented folk of all kinds; from stagekeepers, to parking crew, to hosts and clean teams.

"We need eager people who care about the community. This is an event that brings people together in remembrance of the resolute, kind and giving individuals that have made our community what it is today and continue to help it thrive," says Corraini, "Won't you join us?"

If you are interested in joining this all volunteer crew, have feedback from last year's event, or want to put forward creative new ideas for this year's event, you are invited to call Tracey at (250) 672-2327 or send an email to: contact@wildfiremonument.com.
