Simpcw First Nation announces nominees for the 2024 election

The notice of nomination results for Simpcw First Nation was released on Monday, March 4 for the 2024 Election with an all candidates forum taking place on April 3 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Chu Chua, in the North Thompson in Simpcw Territory.

Current Kúkpi7 (Chief) George Lampreau is running again for the position he now holds and two more candidates are listed to be running for the position of Chief as well.

Larry Lampreau, the current Chief’s uncle and former Chief, as well as Shelly Ann Loring, former Simpcw chief are in the running for Chief in 2024.

Kúkpi7 George Lampreau and Larry Lampreau are both listed also as nominees for Councillor on Reserve, with a total of seven nominees running for that position.

There are four Councillor Off Reserve nominees listed.
