Air Cadet director and wing chairperson Penny Doern presents Air Cadet (Zephram) Tino with a gold medal after he won a regional public speaking competition in Summerland on Feb. 5.
There were six competitors. Topic of the Upper Clearwater youth’s speech was water stewardship. The impromptu topic was, “How Do You Know When Your Goldfish Needs Therapy?”
Tino’s next step will be the provincial competition in Richmond on April 8.
