The Yellowhead 4-H Club hosted its annual demonstration day on April 13 at the Lions Hall.

A demonstration is where 4-H members work in pairs to show how to perform a task or skill. Some topics included how to make brownies, how to change a car tire, and how to change the oil in a dirt bike.

Congratulations to all the 4-H members who did a demonstration. There were three Junior and seven Senior demonstrations.

The Junior winners were Eva-Mae and Kate-Ann Ekins (first place), Olivia Fountain and Brooklyn Allen (second place), and Julia Cox and Alyaya Maddock-Puetz (third place).

The senior winners were Caleb Knoll and Jeremy Salle (first place), Lucas Ryde and Corey Bourque (second place), and Grace Farrow and Tessa Salle (third place). Eva-Mae and Kate-Ann and Lucas and Corey represented the Yellowhead 4-H Club at the district competition on April 14 at the Barriere Seniors’ Center. Eva-Mae and Kate-Ann will compete at the regional competition May 11 in Salmon Arm.

Thank you to all the judges: Cindy Stutt, Maureen Smith, and Connie Sobchak. We had a fun day with some memorable demonstrations.
