On Wednesday, June 7, Wells Gray Country Seniors Society celebrated its 10th anniversary. More than 80 people attended the celebration at Dutch Lake Community Centre.

Mayor John Harwood spoke on the connections between the Seniors Society and District of Clearwater over the years and announced a grant from the District to the seniors.

Drake Smith, one of the original founders of the Seniors Society, spoke on the history and the progress that has been made over the 10 years.

A Jeopardy style game was played to the delight of everyone. Music by Cal Lutz, Loyd Bishop and Linda Mackenzie serenaded the attendees over lunch.

Clearwater Secondary School students Hanna Wadlegger, Josee Cooperman and Emma Collins attended to debut the video they and other students produced to help break down the stereotypes between youth and seniors.

Fun, food, and laughter were had by all. Thank you to all who helped make this celebration such a success.
