Vavenby Elementary School had two new students on Thursday, May 24. The class had been given 15 eggs, some turkey and some duck, from Amber Adams. The eggs were put in an incubator. After 28 days one duck and one turkey egg hatched.

Student mother Kerry Klingbeil took the hatchlings home that night to put them under a heat lamp. Her son Logan said that the turkey didn’t survive, it wasn’t strong enough.

Quite a few people showed up at the church on Friday, June 18 to watch the black and white movie Lillies of the Field starring Sidney Poitier.

June’s movie will be The Case for Christ and is based on a true story. It will be held on Friday, June 15 starting at 7:00 p.m. The church doors open at 6:30. There will be popcorn, snacks, pop, and coffee.
