Vavenby News: Special blankets made for teddies

The theme for the day was The Teddy Bears’ Picnic so all the children brought a teddy bear from home

Wednesday, Oct. 5 was another fun day for the Vavenby preschool children participating in the Strong Start program at the school. The theme for the day was The Teddy Bears’ Picnic so all the children brought a teddy bear from home. During craft time the children and their moms covered up with aprons and painted on a special fabric to make blankets for their teddies.

After craft time the primary students came to the room with their teddies. They read aloud the acrostic poems they had written using their teddies’ names. For story time the children listened to Going on a Bear Hunt and sang songs from The Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
