Darby Mryam is asking for help in finding who stole her Dad’s dark blue 2004 Ford 350 truck (with winches and a headache rack) from their property on Lodgepole Road in Barriere anywhere between the time of 2 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23.
Myram says the truck was located within 24 hours, but it had been “completely cleaned out”.
“It was up Windpass Road by the Little Fort Ferry,” said Myram, “The truck had been hot wired, the steering was broken, and a window was smashed. The tool box, tools, and GPS were all stolen.”
She thinks this may be the third or fourth truck of this make and model that has been stolen in the Barriere area.
Myram is now requesting anyone who might have information or has witnessed anything suspicious from 1:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, on Lodgepole Road (just east of the fairgrounds) or towards Dunn Lake Road (immediately west of the fairgrounds, or anyone with cameras on Lodgepole, Barriere Lakes Road, or Dunn Lake Road out to Windpass Road between 1:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, to please call Barriere RCMP at 250-672-9918, or call the BC Crime Stoppers anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-8477.
“Please, if anyone has information, we’d greatly appreciate it,” said Myram, “Too much theft going on and no repercussions to the scum responsible for it.”
