TNRD release notice of public hearing

There are two zoning change proposals, one in Clearwater and the other in Monte Lake

A public hearing will be held in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District boardroom regarding two proposed changes to zoning bylaws.

The first proposed change is for site-specific use at 5565 Clearwater Valley Road in Clearwater “to allow a full-service guest ranch and campground use. Owners are requesting permitting for an increased number of sleeping units and wish to acknowledge historical use of the property.

The second proposed change is at 4006 Shuswap Road in Monte Lake “to allow a meadry.” The zoning change would permit for alcohol production and processing, and would be limited to a size of 1,000 square feet, with no bistro or gift shop.

The TNRD is asking that those who feel their interest in property would be would be affected by the proposed change of bylaws attend the public hearing on April 21, or provide a written statement. The public is reminded that the entire content of all submissions will be made public and become part of the public record for this matter. All written submissions must be received by the TNRD office before 12 p.m. on April 19.

The public hearing will be held on April 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the TNRD boardroom located at 465 Victoria Street in Kamloops.
