Three dozen attend Vavenby potluck lunch

It is a good time to get out of the house and enjoy the company of others

March's community potluck lunch at the Vavenby church was held on Wednesday, March 29. Thirty-six people braved the not so nice weather to attend.

There were two soups to warm people up and lots of other good food and desserts. It is a good time to get out of the house and enjoy the company of others.

There will be only three more community potluck lunches before the start of summer. They will be on the last Wednesdays of April, May, and June, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., so mark them on your calendar. The lunches will begin again in October.

Lambing on now

April 1 was the start of lambing at Aveley Ranch near Vavenby.

People can go on self-guided tours from April 1 to 23.

The small cost per person includes a hay ride. Children two and under are free. Hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
