Last Wednesday, at Blue River School, we held our annual Jump Rope for Heart Event to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Blue River School has been participating in this event for more than 25 years. In the last three years Blue River School has finished in the top three schools for all of the BC/Yukon Chapter of the foundation. This is based on the total amount of money raised per school (per capita).

This year the eight students (ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6)set a lofty goal of raising a total of $1500. After all the pledges came in Wednesday and the total was calculated, Blue River School beat its goal by raising $1542.46 for heart and stroke research.

It was a very successful event and we are all very proud of the Blue River students.
