Scholarship available for agricultural career

B.C. Fairs is offering two youth scholarships again this year, each for $1,000.

The B.C. Association of Agricultural Fairs and Exhibitions, otherwise known as B.C. Fairs, is offering two youth scholarships again this year, each for $1,000.

The first is for the 2012 Youth Scholarship, and is available to any youth who is continuing their education in agriculture or in a related field. They need to have been active in community organizations for at least two years in B.C. and need to be current residents of B.C.

The second is for the 2012 4-H Scholarship. For this one, the youth must be a member of the 4-H and continuing their education in agriculture or a related field. Again, they must be residents of B.C., and they must have been active with the 4-H for at least two years in B.C. or have been registered as a 4-H member within the past two years.
