Clearwater residents show appreciation with cake

Clearwater residents Lorelei (no last name given) and Dawn Spencer (on right) present a chocolate cake and a Cajun carrot cake to helicopter pilots working out of the Clearwater airstrip during a morning safety briefing on Tuesday, July 18. The Cajun carrot cake is quite spicy and “not for the faint of heart,” they say. Next on the agenda will be something special for the ground crews working out of their camp in Blackpool. The ground crew workers are coming from all over and some are not well equipped for camping, the ladies report. Donations of sleeping bags and other gear to help them can be made through the Curiousity Shoppe Thrift Store next to Clearwater Food Bank.
