Greetings comrades and community members.

As most are aware, the province is currently opening up venues for public use. What does this mean for Branch 259?

We are still restricted to 50 per cent attendance of our regular capacity. That translates to 75 people that can be in the hall at a time for an event, excluding those persons working the event. As far as we are aware, this restriction will carry on until further notice.

We must maintain a point of contact list and masks are recommended, but not mandatory, for those who have been fully vaccinated. For those who have not received any vaccine, masks are mandatory. Sanitization of the hall is done following each event.

Our proposed schedule of events:

Cribbage is every Wednesday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and play begins at 1 p.m.

Darts will commence on Friday, Sept. 17. Doors open at 6 p.m., with toes to the line at 7 p.m.

Meat draws will start on Saturday, Sept. 11. Doors open at 2 p.m. and sales begin at 3 p.m. The first draw is at 3:30 p.m.

Our first dinner is planned for Saturday, Sept. 18. It is indoor dining and doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. The price is still $15 per person.

For our members only: The general meeting and open house is on Monday, Sept. 27. Call to order is at 7 p.m. with light snacks following adjournment.

Of course, all of the aforementioned information is subject to change.
