And what projects are funded by this event, you ask?

* International Exchange Student Program - currently, Emma Persad of Clearwater is spending a year at a secondary school in Strasbourg, France, while Rikka Iivanainen from Finland is attending CSS here this year.

* Annual scholarships for our graduates.

* We have provided some benches at Rotary Sports Park; two more are coming.

* With the guidance of both school principals, a techno-friendly literacy program is being instigated for students. Additional money for this has been obtained through grants from our Rotary District and from Wells Gray Community Forest. It is hoped to extend this to include adults at a later time.

Providing services that benefit our community and the wider world is what Rotary is all about. On the international scene, Rotary is making one last big push to help eradicate polio. World Polio Day is Monday, Oct. 24. Want more information or to make a donation?  Check out this website: www.rotary.org/en/ServiceAndFellowship/Polio/Pages/ridefault.aspx
