Rotarians sold raffle tickets over a few months to raise funds to construct a roofed shelter at the local splash park in partnership with the District of Clearwater. The draw for the raffle was done on Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. during the Donny Golf Tournament at the Wells Gray Golf & RV Park.
The first prize of a new E-bike went to Saphira de Gobeo from Squamish. Rita Hemstock from West Kelowna was the winner of the second-prize paddle board and the third prize of a fire bowl went to Agnetta Orum from Clearwater.
Club members sold tickets to the community, as well as quite a few tourists.
Rotarians would like to send a big thank you to the Dollar Emporium, Hartty Clothing, Wells Gray Home Hardware, BigFoot Trading Co., Wells Gray Golf & RV Park and Lacarya Golf Course, who all sold tickets with the Clearwater Rotary Club.
