What do older adults think about health care restructuring in B.C.’s central Interior?

Marta Lefsrud, a third year practicum student in the School of Social Work, Dr. Noeman Mirza, a faculty member in the School of Nursing, and Emma Schultz, research assistant in the School of Social Work at Thompson Rivers University are conducting a research study called ROAR (researching older adults’ repositioning).

The team came to Clearwater in 2016 and engaged with older adults who answered the research study’s questions regarding older adults’ views on health care restructuring.

On Tuesday, Feb. 13 the team returned and presented their findings to over 50 seniors attending the monthly Senior’s Learn and Lunch program organized by the Wells Gray Country Seniors Society.

The results of their findings can be found in the Seniors Room at Dutch Lake Community Centre or by contacting Dr. Mirza at nmirza@tru.ca.
