The Clearwater Food Bank got a much-needed boost to their breakfast supplies thanks to a donation from Raft River School.

Students delivered the donation of pancake mix and syrups plus other supplies to the local food bank recently.

Linda Selbee of the Clearwater Food Bank said the donation is very much appreciated as food donations have been down this year, while the need continues to rise.

“Donations of food has been down through the year overall but December has been awesome!! Our demand for hampers in December is up at least 20 per cent so all food donations and cash donations has been gratefully appreciated,” Selbee said.

Selbee thanked the students as well as other recent donors such as 846 pounds of food and $2,500 cash from the Trans Mountain staff Christmas party.
