Clearwater’s Wednesday Quilt Group are preparing to ship 12 quilts to Japan for the victims of that country’s earthquake and subsequent tsunami. Amongst them are three baby quilts. The quilts will be added to others being collected at Anderson’s Sewing Center in Kamloops. From there they will be sent to Calgary where more quilts are awaiting shipment to Japan.

At other times the Wednesday Quilt Group donates their quilts to ccancer patients at the Royal Inland Hospital as well as to local cancer patients.

The Thompson Valley Quilters donated a quilt for the Japan project. Normally, their quilts are donated to foster children.
