Principal's message for Clearwater Secondary School

Hello parents, guardians, staff and students: 

Please note that there is no school for students on Monday, teachers will be in school working on improving their craft during the professional development day on Monday.

A big thank you to local businesses

A big thank you from CSS to both Home Hardware and Buy-Low. Both local businesses have provided support to the school this week. Buy-Low continues to support the school breakfast program and this week the two store managers visited to drop off a large donation of  food. The food donation went directly to feeding your kids during breakfast and long break.

Home Hardware came to our rescue, helping us transport a large batch of lumber that was sourced and milled locally. You have likely heard this before, somethings might be cheaper in Kamloops but when you can, consider supporting local. The local businesses here in Clearwater continuously support our school and your kids, the big box stores in Kamloops do not.

Christmas tree fundraiser

The CSS Athletics department is selling Christmas trees as a fundraiser this year. See attached flyer for more information.

Recognition assembly

Our tradition of recognizing what we value has had some adjustments since we no longer have work habit marks on report cards. We invite staff and students to nominate those who they believe deserve recognition.

Opportunities for students

DND Club meets Thursdays from 3:15 to 7:00 p.m.

The upper gym is open five days a week after school for students who would like to work out. 

Basketball season is underway at CSS.

DOC Recreation Programs at CSS

These programs are offered free of charge to any youth with funding provided by the United Way.

• Mondays: Drop in badminton 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
• Tuesdays: Drop in basketball 
• Wednesdays: Indoor soccer 6:00 to 7:16 p.m., drop in badminton 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
