The North Thompson Art Council (NTAC) hosted the annual Christmas Market at Evergreen Acres Hall for three days on Friday Nov. 29, Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 welcoming families looking for that special something created by local artisans.
"We were really looking forward to our Christmas Market this year and hope everyone enjoyed some beautifully handcrafted items, ideal for gift giving this holiday season. We appreciate everyone attending by donation to the Clearwater and District Food Bank and gratefully continue to accept donations towards the operation of the art gallery at Evergreen Hall," said Sandi York, an artisan and member of the NTAC.
On Saturday, Nov. 30 the popular local band, The Silvertones, will be entertained as visitors explored the market and on Sunday, Dec. 1 another favourite band, Incognito, played during the afternoon of socializing and shopping.
York said, "Our silent auction this year had some really lovely items to bid on, a refreshments table of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and home-made delicious goodies and for sale as well. Santa and his elves were on hand for Selfies with Santa, so parents and kids were welcome to come take some memorable photos. The elves were so excited to have fun with the young and young at heart - there was something for everyone!"
