Left: Kernels containing BTi agent are loaded into a backpack sprayer. BTi stands for Bacillus thuringiensis serovar israelensis. According to Wikipedia, it is effective against mosquitoes, fungus gnats and blackflies, while having almost no effect on other organisms.
