The Wells Gray Lively Arts Society would like to take this opportunity to thank one of our financial supporters. The Wells Gray Community Forest Society has generously helped to fund the purchase of new sound and lighting equipment.

In recent years, we have had to rent equipment, which is never ideal. We are all so very grateful to have this wonderful financial support so we can continue to provide live music events throughout the year.

We also have an update on this week’s Summer Stage act, which has been upgraded to “The Rawn Side of Town with Suz & Jonny’s Blues Band.” Suzi Rawn, a Canadian Idol finalist, will be joined by her daughter J Bxby and Jon Treichel, an experienced guitarist, who all deliver a sophisticated mix of classic songs to more contemporary numbers. We welcome back Jon, who was at Summer Stage last week with the effervescent Daverton.

The fun starts at 7 p.m. at the Dutch Lake Community Centre.

And we will - again - do our best to arrange that the rain stays away until after we are all safely home.
