Clearwater resident Julie Jenkins holds her dog, Scotty, after it underwent surgery for injuries inflicted by a Chinese Chow. The attack occurred April 21 in their backyard.

Julie’s husband, Bud Jenkins, had to kick the larger dog for it to let go. Scotty lost an eye and nearly his life. Vet bills so far have amounted to nearly $2,700 but people from the area and across Canada have contributed more than $600.

The Jenkins want to say thanks to everyone who has helped.     Photo by Keith McNeill
