This year’s Kamloops Cowboy Festival has been cancelled due to concerns about Covid-19 and gathering limitations of 250 people imposed by the provincial government.
Many residents of the North Thompson Valley volunteer with or attend the festival.
The event was to have taken place from March 19 to March 22 at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre.
An automatic email response from BC Cowboy Heritage society reads: “Unfortunately, due to the circumstances we have no option but to cancel the Kamloops Cowboy Festival.”
Tickets already purchased will be automatically refunded on the credit card they were purchased with.
Rooms booked under the Cowboy Festival block at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre will be called automatically.
Other cancellations must be done directly by the person who did the booking.
