The Rodeo Redneck 4H Club has had a very busy year.  Our club has grown from a group of six members in 2010 to an ambitious 14 active youth plus four adult leaders in 2011 - not to mention the wonderful parent support. The upcoming 2012 year promises to be another fabulous year with many new members chomping at the bit to join.

Our 2011 season started with guns a blazing.  Practice and lessons occurred at least twice a week with our kids learning lots. As you recall our July weather wasn’t so great but we pressed on.

The riding season had lots of challenges. Our kids had the opportunity to participate in local shows in Barriere as well; we were able to participate as a club in a four-day event for 4H in Salmon Arm. That was a fabulous time where all involved learned lots and everyone had a blast.

Some of our members even had the chance to attend the Armstrong Fair where their success and hard work turned into dollars in their pockets.

Our summer wrapped up with a wonderful achievement day at our practice arena where lots of ribbons were handed out before each had their fill at the supper table. The last but certainly not least show was our 4H Provincial Winter Fair in Barriere. Numerous ribbons were won and the club came home with the Stall Decoration and Cleanliness Trophy. Our members won many individual ribbons and awards. Parent participation was excellent.

Our 4H year wrapped up with an awards banquet at the Wells Grey Inn where every member went home with numerous valuables and tremendous smiles.
