Fundraiser planned for Chu Chua residents Paul and Gloria Celesta

While in town running errands, Paul and Gloria were told their house was burning down

A fundraising lunch called Between Two Fires will be held Saturday, March 26, at Desert Gardens, 540 Seymour Street in Kamloops, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The lunch is being held to aid Paul and Gloria Celesta, who lost their Chu Chua home to fire on Feb. 24.

Paul Celesta was instrumental in protecting his community of Chu Chua during the 2003 McClure Wildfire and has been a long time chief of the Chu Chua Volunteer Fire Department. He lost his job at the Louis Creek mill when it burnt down in the 2003 wildfire.

While in town running errands, Paul and Gloria were told their house was burning down. Although they have house insurance, this event will provide Paul and Gloria with emergency funds to assist them with many needs that are still being identified. It will be a long process of rebuilding.

Tickets for the lunch and auction cost $15 and are available by calling Jennifer at 250-377-8649 or emailing jmorrison@telus.net.
