Food marketing workshops change delivery method

Marketing 101 workshops offered by the Food Innovation Centre of BC, is now available by webinar from the comfort of your computer.

The new format will make the information accessible to producers, food processors, and other food-based businesses. The workshops are no longer offered via videoconference and the registration process has changed (see below).

Before a new product hits the shelves, important decisions have to be made about packaging, price and promotion. The third workshop in the Food Marketing 101 series will focus on helping small and medium-sized producers and processors use market intelligence to optimize the impact of new products in the marketplace.

“Participants will be asked to really focus on their products and the choices they are making,” says program facilitator, Bill Henderson. “They will leave with the tools to think about the scientific side of marketing, and ready to make changes.”

Producers and processors will learn to identify and gather market intelligence to help price products for a successful launch. use packaging for maximum effect and promote effectively to your target market. The webinar is on Wednesday, May 16, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost: $35 plus HST per session
