Berni Easson (l), administrator for Thompson-Cariboo rural, accepts a cheque for $2,511 from Brent Buck recently for Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital.
The money was raised during the fourth annual Ed Buck Golf Tournament, which was held Sept. 13 at Lacarya.
The event was well-attended and included many members of the Buck family. Money raised from the tournament is distributed on a five-year cycle to organizations that his late father had an interest in, explains Brent Buck.
Previous recipients have been Evergreen Acres seniors housing, Clearwater Secondary School athletics and the Canadian Cancer Society.
Next year the proceeds will go to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
Easson, who started her career at DHMH, now is responsible for 14 different health sites.
