Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary met outside in the yard of our chairperson for the final executive meeting before the summer break.
Auxiliary 50/50 tickets will go on sale, Monday, July 12 in front of Buy-Low Foods in the morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are still $5 each and the draw will take place Nov. 18. A schedule for each week will be posted on the Clearwater Info Board Facebook group page.
On May 10, the auxiliary met at Dutch Lake park to hand out service awards. Gail Capostinsky and Gertie McKeown received their 50-year pins. Congratulations on their achievement. Congratulations, too, to Julie Simard, the recipient of the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital bursary. We wish you success with your future studies.
Our annual general meeting was held by email and we voted on what equipment we would buy for the hospital based on the wish list we were given by hospital staff. As the equipment comes in we will post pictures in the Clearwater Times newspaper.
If you have been at the hospital lately for an appointment, you may have noticed the new chairs in the waiting room. The funding for the furniture was generously donated by Eva Buck and Gertie McKeown.
