Clearwater’s Candy Morin was the big winner of the Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital Auxiliary 50/50 draw, taking home $5,000.
The auxiliary will be back next summer selling 50/50 tickets for another chance to win so look for members at Buy-Low Foods.
As the Gift Corner at the hospital will remain closed for an indefinite period, the Old Town Gift Shoppe has welcomed the auxiliary there to sell some of its merchandise. The members said they are grateful.
On Saturday, Dec. 4, the auxiliary will set up a table at the Dutch Lake Centre Indoor Market. The members will have their popular Christmas tins of cookies, Christmas table runners and crocheted rugs as well as a variety of other handmade items.
A reminder will be posted on the info board closer to market.
