Thunder threatened our evening but the skies cleared for a wonderful night of uplifting Celtic music!

The Wheat in the Barley gave us some great toe-tapping music, ending with a wonderful rendition of “Farewell to Nova Scotia.” They played so many different instruments from guitar, flute, whistle, a saxophone (or two), accordion, harmonica and, of course, the beautiful fiddle. The band had so much fun, they said they would love to come back next August.

The evening was opened with a huge thank you to everyone who supports the Wells Gray Lively Arts Society and live music events in the Clearwater area, through their very generous donations each week at Summer Stage.

We say every little bit helps and it is so true. We have also had some very, very huge financial support for our Sound & Lighting Project. It was said they have all done us proud and we are hugely thankful!

Please join us today (Aug. 18) at 7 p.m. to see our new banner which hangs over the stage each week.

Our next act is Doc and the Disorderlies, an enthusiastic four piece acoustic band playing originals, swing, blues, old standards and contemporary ballads.

We are also so very lucky to have Cruisin’ Clearwater join our last two Summer Stages (weather permitting). Great cars and great music - what more can you ask for? We hope to see you there!!
