The Community Resource Centre is proud to offer ed2go, a completely online learning system. ed2go offers a wide range of highly interactive courses that you can take entirely over the Internet. Whether you wish to upgrade your education for your resume or learn something new just for fun, we've got the course for you.
Courses are offered in the following areas: Accounting and Finance, Business, Computer Applications, Graphic Design and Composition, Health Care and Medical, Language and Arts, Personal Development, Digital Photography, Teaching and Education, Technology, Writing and Publishing.
Expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors, lead all of our ed2go courses. Our online courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient, and geared just for you.
ed2go offers the ultimate in learning convenience. There are no weekly classes that you have to attend outside your home. You can work at your own schedule whether it's over your morning coffee, on your lunch break, or after the kids have been put to bed. You can learn in the comfort of your own home (in your pj's and slippers, if you so wish!), on the go on a laptop, or at our very own Community Resource Centre's computer lab with high speed Internet.
The courses are all six weeks in duration, so it is quick, easy, and affordable to take new courses. There are also new sessions starting monthly.
Expert instructors lead each course and the learning environment is interactive both with the instructor and your fellow students though the engaging student discussion areas. You are supported throughout your learning experience and have fun at the same time.
The classes are easy to follow. You do need to know the basics of how to operate a computer and the Internet, but you don't need a degree in computer science to learn with ed2go.
Carol McNeil, a Spanish instructor at the Community Resource Centre, has previously taken the Speed Spanish 3 ed2go course. Carol states: "I would definitely recommend this online course to my students who just finished a beginner's course in Spanish and anyone interested in learning Spanish. I would advise starting at the beginning with Speed Spanish 1 and 2. I appreciated the support system, the availability of help through email, vocabulary with sound, quizzes and supplemental information."
Community Resource Centre receptionist Meghan Walker has also taken several ed2go courses. Walker appreciates how students can tailor their learning experience to get exactly what they want from ed2go. "Students can take as little as they want or as much as they want from the courses. You can follow the basic course material or be as involved as you want with the instructor, fellow students, and supplemental web material."
