Clearwater Rotary Icebreaker Fishing Derby set for Sunday, Jan. 29

You may want to head down to Dutch Lake Sunday, Jan. 29 and test that luck at the Rotary Icebreaker Fishing Derby.

This community event will take place from 8 a.m. until noon on Sunday, Jan. 29.

There will be food, refreshments and a 50/50 available and prizes for first, second and third place f($300, $200 and $100) or longest trout or kokanee salmon. There will also be a consolation prize for biggest sucker as well as participant draw prizes.

The cost to enter the derby is $20 per person, youth 14 years and under are free. Tickets are available either on the lake on derby day, or at Home Hardware, Super Save Gas or Bigfoot Trading Co. A fishing licence is required to enter.

The event is being hosted by Clearwater Rotary. All funds raised to go toward Rotary community support programs.
