A Clearwater taxi driver has been ordered to spend 75 days in jail after he exposed himself to and groped a young customer.

Sukhwinder Virdi, 46, pleaded guilty to one count each of assault and an indecent act in B.C. Supreme Court on Tuesday, Aug. 23.

He will spend 75 days in jail, followed by a year of probation. Virdi’s time at Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre will be intermittent, served from Friday to Sunday each week until the 75 days have been reached. The Court also required Virdi to submit a sample of his DNA to a national criminal database.
